Welcome

The community of Richmond/Knob Hill is located in Calgary’s southwest. It is one of Calgary’s older communities and was annexed in two phases, first in 1907, then in 1910. Most of the development in this area occurred in the 1950s. Richmond/ Knob Hill residents’ have easy access to Calgary’s pathway system and the community is located nearby the Southwest Regional Park, Richmond Green golf course. The commercial area of Marda Loop is also nearby.

 

Richmond/Knob Hill Community Association (RKHCA) boundaries encompass the area north of 17 Avenue SW to 33 Avenue SW and from the west, 25A Street; Richmond Road to 19 Street; 26 Avenue; 20 Street in the east.

 

The Richmond/Knob Hill Community Association was first registered as a Provincial Society on June 16, 1954. Today the RKHCA is an active community Association. The Richmond/Knob Hill Community Hall offers a variety of activities to residents. A playgroup, dog training groups and a drop-in Play Group make use of the hall. Richmond/Knob Hill rink offers year around recreational opportunities - including family skating, hockey, basketball nets and bike polo. The Community Hall also hosts the annual Chili cook-off and numerous holiday childrens’ celebrations.
